B&B Da Marta

Right in the old village, this B&B is beautifully looked after. Paolo and Barbara were super friendly, and our bedroom looked out over a splendid wooded hillside. You have to reach it on foot, so it's best to travel light.

The place was gorgeous, though the climb up was tough.

The worst part was the evening of Epiphany. The manager was celebrating in the square and forgot to refill the boiler with pellets, so the radiators went off. I understand local traditions, but guests' comfort should come first. There was also a hot-water problem in the shower. When we mentioned it, we were told it can happen if two or more guests shower at once, which is a baffling explanation for a place with several rooms. Our room had no Wi-Fi signal at all, despite Wi-Fi being advertised, so it was practically unusable. The B&B also has no POS terminal, and in 2026 I find it absurd to have to worry about carrying cash. For the price, I'd expect working services and at least some attention to guests. It's a shame, because the stay left me with a negative impression and I wouldn't recommend it.

The hosts are so kind that you start wishing you could stay longer. The village feels like a timeless bubble, and you can only explore it on foot, counting the steps as you go. Our room was superb, equipped with everything despite its old stone construction. The stairs up to it are breathtaking, adding to the magic, and the window opens onto a balcony with a magnificent view that feels like another era.
