Arco Smart Hotel

Our balcony had a stunning view of the castle, and the whole town of Arco has magnificent scenery under the castle that dominates the skyline. The hotel is tucked between shops and residential streets, a short walk from the town center. The bedrooms have all been refurbished and are huge, with walk-in showers, useful storage and a hospitality tray. It's a high-standard hotel working toward a four star rating. Drinks, including soft drinks, wine and spirits, are available most of the day as part of the all-inclusive stay. Meals are buffet-style Italian food with lots of variety. There's also a small pool and bike hire for ten euros a day. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I'd recommend staying here.

The pool was clean and just what we wanted after a hot day of sightseeing. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I'd stay here again and recommend it to family and friends. The bedrooms have been refurbished to a good standard, with fresh decor and kettles and tea-making facilities now in the rooms. Arco village center is only a 5-10 minute stroll through the park, with bars along the way.

The location is good and breakfast was decent, and the manager was polite and apologized for the trouble. That's the one reason I'm giving two stars. We arrived at 8 pm to find the room hadn't been cleaned, with towels left in the bathroom and rubbish still there. They moved us to another room, but its bathroom towels were completely wet. After the second night, the cleaner took our towels and forgot to leave replacements. The cleaning is awful. I've never had such a bad experience at a four star hotel, and I won't come back.

We booked an all-inclusive six day stay with Shearings and got to see a lot of Lake Garda, Venice and Verona. We'd definitely stay at this hotel again. Most rooms have balconies, and there's an outdoor rooftop area for sunbathing or taking in the views. The en suite rooms are clean. Food is simple but there's plenty of it.
