Hotel Cattoi

It’s old and basic, but you can’t expect much more from a one-star hotel.

The owners were very welcoming and nice, which makes me sorry to say this, but the prices are seriously outrageous and should come down. I had a terrifying night. The place felt too run-down for my taste, and there was a terrible stench. The washing situation was awful.

Honestly, I don’t have anything else to add. Lucio’s hamburgers are good, though.

The pool and its view were nice, so that’s what earned the 2. Otherwise, I’d give it zero. It felt like walking onto a horror movie set. There was no hospitality. The older lady kept asking me the same thing every minute because she was worried, poor thing, and the younger one, who I think was her daughter, seemed even worse. Nostalgic photos everywhere made it seem like nothing had ever been renovated. Same furniture, floors, and layout, and the whole place felt squalid. Breakfast was poor: a shared packet of toast left open who knows how long, supposedly for hygiene, and cereal that was anything but crunchy. The room felt like a bunker, with no air conditioning or bidet. There wasn’t even a towel to put on the floor, despite the shower flooding the whole bathroom. The price was high for what they offered.
