Casa Lia

Stay in July We spent a fabulous week at Casa Lia in Bacanno, a traditional Italian stone house set in a lovely garden where the oleanders were in full bloom. Paola, our kind host, let us use a roomy apartment furnished and equipped in Italian style. The big terrace was perfect for breakfast and dinner in the shade of the pomegranate tree, with cicadas singing nearby. We didn’t need air conditioning. Every morning brought a marvelous sunrise over the Apuan Alps, and the air was full of flowers and herbs. It couldn’t have felt more Italian. If you’re looking for somewhere with a soul and a charming atmosphere, rather than the usual hotel standard, you should come and see it. Fantastic Paola was like a guardian angel, helping us whenever we needed it and sharing good beach trip tips. She was always ready to make our stay more comfortable. Many thanks! Highly recommend it. Quiet, clean, and nice. The hosts were friendly, and the location was good.

The little garden was the best part, peaceful, well cared for, and a lovely place to have breakfast. Paola was kind and helpful from the start, which made the stay even better. Our room was spotless and tidy, with a really enchanting view. A real gem, and I’d happily come back.

We found it easy to get to the main attractions, while the setting itself stayed peaceful. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking, and outside there’s a spacious garden with a lovely view. The owners were extremely kind and helpful. I had a wonderful stay here and would recommend it as a comfortable place to relax while exploring the area.
