Villa Gengi

For the price, I don't think you could ask for much more. The owner was friendly and helpful, and left a coffee machine for guests. We could come back to the room whenever we liked in the evening. It's only a few kilometers from Cinecittà World, though the place looks better in photos. The entrance and outdoor areas were a little neglected, but the pool, gazebos, and loungers were well kept. The room had timed climate control, so be careful, it might switch off in the middle of the night.

The staff were very friendly and kind. Our room for five was spacious and very clean. I'll come back!

Villa Gengi has a lovely saltwater pool, with loungers and umbrellas available. The gentleman at reception was always very kind.

We were glad we only stayed two nights, especially for what we paid. It was a terrible experience and a real disappointment. The only good thing was being 15 minutes from Zoomarine, which was the reason for our stay. The pool was dirty, with hair, fur, and insects in it, and the garden outside was in poor shape. Our room upstairs had access to a very nice terrace, but it was abandoned. Inside, there was dust and cobwebs in the rooms. The reception smelled of cigarettes when we came in, and the breakfast room looked out onto a dump. It was awful: dirty, cobwebby, and the shared fridge seemed not to have been cleaned in months. There was no breakfast. The website photos don't reflect the place at all. It's a real shame, because with proper cleaning and care this property could be a gem.
