The staff were excellent and attentive, and the cliffside views were breathtaking. That view makes the hotel hard to dismiss, though there’s still plenty that could be improved. The room wasn't ready until 15:30, and there were no tea or coffee facilities or safe. Reception did lend me a hairdryer. Food was a mixed experience: dinner was a wow, but the meal by the pool was disappointing. The beach cost €41 euros and felt expensive, especially since it had no facilities and was a bit rough. The beach bar and restaurant weren't helpful, though I don't think they were officially part of the hotel. Getting there was a struggle. I couldn't get a taxi at the station, so I had to walk with my suitcases. The funicular is an unusual way to leave the hotel, but returning from town at 23:30, the concrete steps and boarding area were completely unlit. It felt dangerous. I wouldn't use it without a torch or phone light.

The restaurant was a highlight for me: dinner was ambrosia, breakfast a dream, and the fresh Ligurian dishes went beautifully with the local wines. The wine list alone deserves five stars. There’s a small gym, but I saw the sea and swapped dumbbells for a glass of wine while watching sailboats go by. The hotel sits dramatically on a cliff near Genoa. From my bed I could hear the waves, and the deep blue horizon seemed to go on forever. The pool looks as if it hangs between sky and sea, and was perfect for a lazy float or sunset swim. It feels like a little paradise, the sort of place where you don't want to leave. I came to relax, enjoy the food, and take in the views, and it delivered. Sooooo nice and beautiful here. Highly recommended if you love a beautiful setting, good food, and taking it easy.

The only real downside for us was dinner at the restaurant. It wasn't very tasty, though the people there were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast, on the other hand, was very good. The view from the hotel is indescribably beautiful. Our room was good, clean, and comfortable, and the pool was okay. We had a wonderful vacation, thank you.

Our room looked out over the Ligurian Riviera, and the view was truly spectacular. The beaches were easy to get to, too, thanks to the excellent location. An unforgettable stay, highly recommended.
