Agriturismo Il Palazzo

We spent two summer nights here and really liked the place. The staff were welcoming and kind, the setting was beautiful and almost fairy-tale-like, and the food was prepared in the area's traditional style. Cleanliness could have been better, though. Our suite had quite a bit of dust on both the floors and furniture, along with spider webs. Apart from that, I have only praise for the place.

We first came to Il Palazzo while looking at wedding venues around Tuscany, and my then-fiancé and I quickly agreed on it. The estate feels like its own little village, with homes and winding rows of olive and grape trees. We rented the whole place, so it really felt like a village full of our people. You’d bump into friends and family on the way between the garden, pool, and breakfast, then pull up a chair and share coffee. What made the wedding and all three visits beforehand work so well was Laura. Across the 18 months of planning and the four days of festivities, she was responsive, thoughtful, genuine, and great at her job. The owner, his wife, and son were all warm and hospitable too. We may not have spoken the same language, but we understood the care. Everyone on staff, from the head chef and waiters to the managers and owners, was kind and sincere, and tried hard to make the stay and event special. Nicolai even stepped beyond his comfort zone and hand-crafted our wedding cake. The photos don’t capture how lovely the venue really is. I can’t wait to find a reason to come back, whether for a vow renewal, a holiday, a friend’s getaway, or something else. I know we’d be in great hands.

We booked the whole venue for a weekend toward the end of September for a wedding with family and friends. Before arriving, we were understandably a bit nervous about the venue, service, weather, and managing guests coming from Turkey, France, England, plus a strange group of men in kilts! There was no disappointment. Laura and the team were amazing, especially when a chance of rain meant we needed to move the reception, and when they had to deal with the bride and groom. The venue itself was wonderful, the rooms worked well for our group of around 30, and the food was fantastic. We’d definitely recommend the wine tasting and the venue. We had a fantastic weekend.

Our mid-September wedding at Il Palazzo was unforgettable. Across the planning and the four-day wedding weekend, Laura and the staff made us feel like family. We rented every apartment on site and got to enjoy the different spaces and experiences Il Palazzo offers. The people there, along with the food, wine, and venue, made it a dream weekend. I can’t recommend it highly enough!
