Vogue Hotel

The only change I'd suggest is adding more privacy around the open bathtub, since some guests might want that when bathing. Aside from that, I had a fantastic two-night stay. The location made it easy to get to the train station, Arezzo's historic old town, and nearby grocery stores. The spacious rooms have high ceilings, large windows, and beautiful art, almost like staying in a castle.

We were lucky to get one of the hotel's two parking spots right out front. As we understood it, the other option was a public lot around the corner. Breakfast was a real treat: lots of pastries and breads, plus the best selection of fruit we came across on our whole trip in Italy. A welcome change from the usual cheeses and cured meats. The people working at the Vogue Hotel made our time in Arezzo enjoyable more than the room did. They were very friendly and helpful, sorting out dinner bookings and suggesting nearby places to eat. I must have thoroughly confused them, trying out my amateur Italian while my wife spoke English at the same time! We stayed for three nights in late August 2023. The hotel is well placed for walking to many of the town's sights. Our “Annuncio” room was spacious, with old furniture, though the upholstered chair had stains and needed cleaning. The lighting wasn't great, and the few windows left the room feeling a bit gloomy. It was quite chilly when we arrived, but the AC controls didn't work, and we were told temperature changes had to go through reception. There were plenty of towels and they were changed daily. The shower was large, with a hand shower, rain shower, and side jets, but the hand shower leaked and most of the fittings needed maintenance.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, though if you wanted a drink at the bar, you sometimes had to ask at reception for service. For the price, I'd recommend it and would stay again. It's a very good value hotel, around a 15 minute walk from the old town centre, with great free parking if you're driving. My superior room cost only a little more than a standard one and was spacious, clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The hotel is dated and could use some modernisation. There is air conditioning, but it wasn't very powerful for really hot weather, and I had to leave a card in the slot while out to keep it running. Also, there weren't any English-speaking channels on the TV for when I wanted to relax.

We stayed four nights with our two dogs, and the hotel upgraded us after noticing we'd be bringing them. Everyone was really friendly and accommodating, and lovely with the dogs too. The rooms were quiet, so we slept well. We really loved our stay at the Vogue hotel. The furniture is a bit vintage, but that didn't bother us. Our room was very clean, and the location was great, close to a parking garage and all the restaurants, bars, and shops. Highly recommend. Thanks again for making us feel welcome in Arezzo 😁
