Getting around the lake was easy, with ferry and bus connections to the main villages, including Bellaggio, Varenna, and Como. This is a charming little aparthotel with a lovely balcony view of a small river and the lake. The reception was very friendly, and downstairs there’s a restaurant with amazing food and excellent local wines. Don’t miss it.

La P'Osteria, the hotel restaurant, is very good too. The hotel sits between the river and the lake, with marvelous views, and right in the middle of lovely Argegno. You get some of the bustle that comes with being central, but it never felt unpleasant. The staff were helpful and spoke good English. I’d definitely recommend it.
