The room was clean and had a balcony, though the hotel itself is basic. The location was okay, but the surrounding industrial area wasn’t appealing.

10/10
Hotel California was a very comfortable place to stay for five nights. The beds and bedding were comfortable, the WiFi worked very well, and the hotel was VERY clean, with daily turn-down service. Breakfast was generous, with tasty local pastries and REAL Italian coffee. The staff were extremely accommodating, and owners Fabio and Mauro were excellent innkeepers. It’s close to the train for day trips to Rome, about 30kms from Fiumicino and 10km from Ciampino airports, with lovely towns such as Genzano, Ariccia and Gandolfo nearby. I highly recommend it.

Fabio was helpful over the phone and lovely to meet in person, and the rest of the staff were friendly and ready to help too. The hotel was clean, breakfast was great, and it was quiet, a relaxing break from the bustle of Rome. It was a pleasant surprise, especially since I’d browsed and paid for another hotel with the same name. I’ll book here next time I’m in Rome.

The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. Our shower could have been better, though, and breakfast was very basic, not the best.

10/10
Breakfast was simple but good, and Fabio and the rest of the staff provided excellent service. This is a good little hotel, with clean rooms and private bathrooms, not far from the main attractions of "Castelli Romani".
