We waited a long time while the waitresses ignored us. Once we finally ordered, the dishes came at different times, with my friend’s arriving after 20 minutes and mine after 40. I said they should have told us beforehand, but they just laughed. Really bad service. I wouldn’t recommend it.

I stopped in for lunch and had a sandwich with a drink. Both were very nice, and the service was good.

Breakfast was served in a dungeon-like basement, and it was a joke. Service was terrible too. Definitely not “moderno,” and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The food is a strong point at Albergo Moderno, with genuine local ingredients and Sardinian flavors that bring old traditions to mind. Local wines and drinks go well with the meal, too. The hotel itself is welcoming and well kept, bringing together traditional charm and useful comforts. In the center of Aritzo, surrounded by lush nature, it feels peaceful and unhurried. It’s a good base for trekking, excursions, and other outdoor activities, but also a quiet place to relax and recharge. More than somewhere to sleep, it’s a little paradise for anyone looking for nature, authenticity, and well-being.
