Hotel Spagna was my favourite place in more than a month of travelling from Australia across Europe. I extended my stay in Arona because the people there were so lovely: the owner Stephan, Elizabeth, Maria, and Christina, who cleans the rooms. After I checked out, I left my bags while collecting a hire car. I returned hours later than expected, and only realised after driving away that Stephan had waited around all that time to let me back in. He didn’t mention it, just stayed friendly and gracious. The bell tower view was beautiful, and town, the beach, and the castle were all easy to reach. I’m glad I chose little Arona and this hotel. Thanks for the beautiful and cheeky Italian spirit, and for letting me have breakfast at 1 p.m. after a long sleep in.

The price was probably the best part, especially with a nice little breakfast included. Hotel Spagna is also just two minutes from both the city and the sea promenade. My room was very clean and had everything I needed, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it. The price-quality rate is awesome. Thanks for everything!

Really good price for the area, and it’s very close to the train station. The staff were friendly and welcoming. It’s a cute hotel with a nice, comfy bed and a clean bathroom, but the bell tower outside rings noisily all night. The air conditioning doesn’t work, and the walls are so thin you can hear what your neighbor is doing.
