Arosio Hotel

The towels were so thin they barely dried you, and the room minibar didn't chill drinks enough. Breakfast leaned too heavily on sweet cookies, and there's no bar. The pool costs 5 euro per person, so nobody uses it. Rooms are dated, though tidy, with old, overly soft beds and an okay bathroom. This was by far the cheapest 4-star hotel I've ever stayed in. You get a 10% rebate at the restaurant next door, which has the same owner, but there are much better places nearby. Try the 'fermes chi' restaurant about 3km away and taste the 'I trust the chef-menu'.

My room was clean but very small. It opened onto a terrace, which could've been a plus, except other people used it to smoke. Parking was a challenge throughout my stay because the lot is far too small for a hotel this size. I also encountered one of the rudest concierges I've ever met. I understand the Covid19 restriction, but I don't plan to come back.

Neat, clean place and good value for money. Some things could be better: keep the room AHU air cond unit running with a secure power supply 24/7, add an electric tea kettle and indoor slippers to the rooms, and offer an English newspaper for selected rooms when booking on Line.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and cosy. Breakfast was excellent, and the accommodation and service were high standard in general. I'd like to visit again.
