Podere Vesta

We stayed two nights in June. The pool was very clean and the gardens were well kept, and the views from every room were stunning. The accommodation was huge and equipped with everything you’d need for a longer stay. It’s about a 15-minute drive to the centre of Siena, so it’s peaceful but still close enough for sightseeing if that’s what you want. I’d recommend it and would return.

The pool is large, the temperature was just right, and there were plenty of chairs nearby for relaxing. The grounds are very big with lots of space to walk, and the house itself is pretty, stylish, and well soundproofed. Beds were fine, though I’d bring your own pillow. The bathroom is compact but good, and the shower has lots of settings and is amazing. Wi-Fi is only available at reception, which is a nice place to sit. We stayed eight days and would recommend it for either a short or long stay.

The kids had a great time in the huge pool, and there’s also a tennis court, playground, and games room with pool, foosball, and ping pong tables. The rooms are clean, rustic, and have a great view. The full kitchen has enough pots and utensils, and the barbecue uses wood or charcoal only. Laundry costs €3 per wash, though the two machines don’t always work. An attendant is around only at check-in and check-out, while the owner, an older lady, drops by at random times.

Our dog had the vacation of his life here. It’s pet friendly, with space to run and relax like nowhere else. We loved Vesta so much we didn’t want to leave, and it changed how we think about vacations. I don’t think we’ll choose an all-inclusive holiday or big hotel again. The apartment is lovely, simple and cosy, with a kitchen equipped with everything needed. The garden is well looked after, and if something goes wrong a technician comes quickly to try to fix it. There are plenty of places to unwind, read, or eat outdoors, plus a pool with just the right amount of space and your own sunbeds. Siena and other small towns are nearby, while larger Tuscany attractions are about 1-2 hours away by car. Such stunning views, it felt like a little heaven on earth.
