Luxar Room

I canceled because I was afraid to go to her accommodation with my children. The woman sounded terrifying and yelled at me for wanting to check in later than expected. I never got my money back from Booking or the owner. One star for taking my money through Booking. No thanks!

The food was a letdown from start to finish. The appetizers and both first courses were inadequate, and the first courses came in tiny portions an hour apart. The suckling pig arrived just before midnight in very small quantities. The waitress said more would come for everyone, but it never did. At midnight, the sparkling wine came in small amounts and without the right glasses. For the panettone and lentils, guests had to serve themselves at a table by the entrance and bar. At 12:45 AM, I told the owner about the poor service and missing menu items. After the panettone had already been eaten, he brought two grilled fish platters by one o'clock, each with three prawns, four pieces of fish, and three cuttlefish. By then nobody had eaten them. He added two more platters, but at that hour it felt like an attempt to save the goat and cabbage. The menu had sounded very inviting on paper, which made the reality more disappointing. The room was packed. There were four people at tables meant for two, and guests had to put coats and bags on their chairs. There was so little space that dining room staff couldn't do their jobs properly, and some guests had to help at least seven or eight people get up so others could reach the restrooms. The entertainment itself was good, but the setup was poor. During dinner the volume was so loud it was impossible to talk to the waitresses. On other evenings it was nice, but December 31st was a terrible, disappointing experience.

I got there at 2:00 a.m. and had booked without really knowing what to expect. I wouldn't recommend it for couples. The double bed frame was broken, and the mattress was something I can't even describe. Light from outside came straight into the sleeping areas because there were no curtains in the entrance hall or the room above. I should have left.

The two men running the dining area were elegant, kind, and always ready to make you feel at home. The room side of things was a different story. We asked for a quote, accepted it, and sent photos of both our IDs through chat. When it was time to pay, the lady wanted to charge extra because she hadn't realized there were two of us. I'll let you draw your own conclusion. Reluctantly, I give two stars for that behavior.
