Villa Barbarossa

We found the place spotless and welcoming, with a lovely garden. The owners are very kind, and our room and bathroom were both spacious. There’s also a beautiful terrace with a view of Assisi. Breakfast is self-service, plentiful, and a relaxing way to start the day. It’s a great base for exploring the area or walking the many country paths. Highly recommended.

Good value and a convenient place to stay between Perugia and Assisi/Gubbio. I and some other guests I met used it as a base for the Umbria Jazz festival, and it worked well.

The garden is beautiful and the view is splendid. We were warmly welcomed, and the room and bathroom were comfortable. Everything was extremely clean, and breakfast was generous. Highly recommended.

The countryside around Villa Barbarossa looks almost painted, and the quiet makes the city feel far away. Yet a lively village with shops and bars by a river is only five minutes away. With suggestions from Ferruccio and his father Francesco, we saw some beautiful places. We arrived one July weekend after hours on the road and a few stops. We called Ferruccio, who welcomed us with such care at check-in, like friends he knew were tired and hadn’t seen in a while. The next morning, stepping onto the terrace, we understood why this place feels like paradise. We came for a weekend away from everyday life. It’s not hard to find a pretty place with friendly people, but finding somewhere wonderful where the people make you feel like every day is Sunday is rare. Saying we’ll come back is a promise to ourselves. Thank you so much.
