I nearly kept Camera Ramaccia to myself, but the owners deserve the praise. Their hospitality goes well beyond the usual, enough to impress St. Francis himself. The stay has a quiet, unpretentious feel, and the place is comfortable and beautiful. It gave me the sense of getting a little bit of Italy and Assisi that other people might miss. There’s a simple Italian breakfast, a good room, and a great shower. It’s hard to put the charm of the place into words.

We only stayed for two nights, but everything worked out perfectly. The rooms were spacious and very clean, with daily housekeeping, and the location was excellent, just a few steps from the entrance to the historic center and right beside the Basilicata di Santa Chiara. At the entrance there’s a veranda shared by the rooms, and we had breakfast next door at the bar, choosing both sweet and savory things and eating on the veranda with a panoramic view across Assisi. Parking mattered a lot to us, and they found a perfect spot for our motorcycle. There’s a supermarket and a bank across the street, too. Thanks to Federico and his family. We’d highly recommend staying here, especially for the excellent value.
