Carfagna Sandro Camere

We hope to come back next year after a very peaceful three-night visit. The Carfagna Sandro Country House sits in the shadow of the Cathedral of Saint Francis. The family and staff made us feel very welcome, and both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were excellent. We recommend it without reservation.

We spent three days in Assisi and had a really special stay. The staff looked after us from the moment we arrived. We were visiting the war cemetery a few miles away, where my wife’s grandfather is buried. Our room was amazing, with views over Assisi and the surrounding countryside. We ate at the family-run restaurant all three nights, and the food was lovely, freshly cooked over the open fire. We’ll need to come back in summer when the pool is open. The family and staff were the best part, kind, welcoming, informative, always smiling, and happy to help. The location is beautiful, with a direct view of the Basilica of San Francesco. Our room was nice, clean, and cozy. Breakfast was great, and dinner was excellent, including tasty gluten free options. Thank you, we’ll definitely come again.

We’ll be back as soon as possible! The owners and employees are super nice and always ready to meet your needs. It’s a tidy, relaxing place very close to Assisi, set among typical Umbrian scenery. The B&B has the feel of a resort and an amazing view of The Papal Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi. The food is delicious, made with fresh local products. I really recommend it!
