La Casina Colorata

Beatrice made our visit feel easy from the start. She helped us find La Casina Colorata, explained how to use the train, and pointed us toward good places to eat and see. She was attentive and so kind that we felt at home there. Assisi is beautiful, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. I’d happily recommend staying at La Casina Colorata.

We found the welcome at La Casina Colorata warm, and the shared kitchen was handy. The place was clean, and parking was free just a few minutes away on foot. Beatrice was easy to reach at any time and helped with both check-in and check-out. She also suggested places to visit and eat. I’m especially glad she mentioned San Damiano before we left. Thanks, Beatrice, for helping us make such good memories. I’d definitely recommend staying here when visiting Assisi.

Beatrice and Simone were the best part of our three nights at La Casina Colorata. Beatrice was kind and helpful, and we felt like family. The location was also ideal, only steps from the main piazza. We took the smaller room, which suited two people fine. It has no windows, so it was easy to sleep in. The bed was comfortable, the heat worked well, and the bathroom had a good-sized shower with plenty of hot water. In the shared kitchen and lounge, each room had its own table, and there was a big fridge, sink, dishes, utensils, cups, and a Nespresso machine. Guests can’t use the stove because of regulations. The restored space is lovely, with the stone and timber you see in Assisi buildings.

The owners make this a particularly good place to stay, with a warm welcome and plenty of advice on what to see and where to eat. La Casina Colorata is right in Assisi’s historic center, and most sights are an easy walk away. The free car park is walkable too.
