Le Querce di Mamre

Luisa’s kindness made an already lovely place even nicer. It’s just right for a quiet, relaxing weekend, and I’d happily recommend it.

The place itself is lovely and the location is really convenient. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly, but a few things made the stay harder than it needed to be. I asked about adding a single bed and was told yes, but it turned out to be a Mondo Convenienza sofa that folded down, not a proper sofa bed. It stayed lumpy in the middle and was extremely uncomfortable. I got only eight hours of sleep across two days. Noise also carries straight through the adjoining rooms. At 11:30 at night I could hear the shower, then the hairdryer, while the husband watched a show with Bonolis. Breakfast was mostly packaged supermarket food: croissants, biscuits, tartlets and rusks, with little tubs of spreads. I’d rather have fewer things with a bit more care, like a good tart or ring cake, or croissants from a decent café. The shortcomings are fixable, but this felt like getting lost in a glass of water.

The grounds are lovely and surrounded by greenery, and Ms. Luisa is wonderful. We stayed from April 6 to 8, 2026, and found it a great base for getting to several destinations. I highly recommend the property.

It’s a quiet, leafy setting and everything else was fine. The headboard squeaked, and breakfast was made up of supermarket items in bags. A bit more care with those details could make the stay truly excellent.
