We only spent one night at Palazzo Minciotti, and I really wish it could have been longer. The old palazzo is a delight, centrally located in old Assisi and within walking distance of major sights, shops, and restaurants, which helped us make the most of a short visit. It’s an historic building owned and cared for by descendants of the aristocratic Minciotti family. Our host was professional and pleasant, and made us feel welcome. Two couples shared one apartment, with plenty of room: three bedrooms, a large living room and dining room, and two bathrooms that gave us extra privacy. My bedroom was clean and bright, with a picturesque view of Assisi from the window. The kitchen and washer/dryer would have been ideal for a longer stay. We’d definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Assisi.

Anna Maria was a delightful, friendly, professional host who made sure the apartment was clean and cozy and did everything she could to make us comfortable. We stayed at Palazzo Minciotti in July with my husband and two kids, and had an absolutely amazing time. In the centre of old Assisi, it’s within walking distance of the main sights, restaurants, and shops. The charming historic palazzo belongs to the Minciotti family, who live there and work to preserve its original character while keeping it up to date. It has original paintings and furniture, and the family coat of arms at the entrance dates to the middle 19th century. There are several spacious, bright, air conditioned apartments with well equipped kitchens. We also had access to the lovely garden, a calm place to relax. Anna Maria’s hospitality and the building’s authentic features make this an easy place to recommend in Assisi.

The terraced garden was one of my favourite features, spread over three levels with a wisteria pergola and peaceful views towards the Rocca Maggiore fortress above the city. We shared a family dinner there one evening, eating and drinking outdoors in a relaxed setting. It’s a family memory we’ll always cherish. The Palazzo Minciotti is a historic building in the heart of old Assisi, maintained and lived in by Minciotti descendants since the mid 19th century. We gathered there for a family reunion and couldn’t have chosen better. Anna Maria, who lives in the palazzo with her family, was courteous and delightful, and her caring, professional hospitality made us feel at home. She knows the history of the palazzo and Assisi, gave us wonderful restaurant suggestions, and helped us plan what to see and find guides. Our family of four adults used one apartment, while my sister’s family of three adults and two kids stayed downstairs. Both were bright and spacious, with air conditioning and wifi. Ours had three large bedrooms, two bathrooms, a washer and dryer, an iron and ironing board, and a well stocked kitchen with a fridge, stove, and cooking and eating utensils. The bedroom window had panoramic views. She takes pride in keeping the apartments clean and cozy. We’ve never stayed anywhere quite so perfect and would gladly return. Highly recommend it for Assisi.

The person who made this apartment special for us is Anna Maria Ingretolli. She, her husband, and daughter work hard to make every guest feel welcome and help them have the kind of holiday they want. She’s kind, friendly, and accommodating, and we’ve come to value and appreciate her. The Santa Rosa apartment itself is comfortable, spacious, well equipped, and right in a remarkably beautiful city we’ve come to love. Having full access to the lovely terraced garden, outdoor kitchen, and swimming pool is an added benefit. It’s simply a wonderful place to be, and we can’t recommend it highly enough.

The location is perfect, with the square a short walk away and the bus stop close by. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby for anything you need. The family is warm and welcoming, and eager to make your stay memorable. The apartments are bright, open, and well maintained, with kitchens fully stocked for cooking. This home is a ten star attraction. Don’t hesitate to rent here.
