Breakfast was simple and there wasn't much to it, mostly sweets, but what they had was delicious. The place itself is cosy and pleasant, right at the edge of beautiful Assissi, with very friendly service and smiles. The rooms are quite small and dated, though handy as a place to start the day.

The family running this quaint country hotel are incredibly friendly and helpful. They can arrange private transfers to and from the station and other Umbrian destinations. There's an excellent restaurant on site serving modern Italian food, and it's only a short drive to Assisi's old town. We stayed two nights, at the start and end of our cycling holiday in Umbria. Coming back for the second night felt like coming home. We really enjoyed our time there. Mark and Jacki

Elio's enthusiasm for Umbrian food and wine really comes through, and he makes you understand what Umbria is all about. The host, food, and wine were all perfect, as was the location. This hotel has the heart and soul of the real Umbria.
