We had such a nice stay. The staff were friendly, and everything was clean. Thank you!

The owner was friendly, and the rooms were clean and warm. They were also very dated, though, and could use modernization. The location felt far from everything. Our first day's croissants were hard, and the next two breakfasts were better, but don't expect them to be fresh. There was no TV, just a very old PC that only worked for watching Rai Play. It took up much of the little desk space, and we never used it.

This was our third year staying here, and the experience is still the same: five-star hospitality, cleanliness, and peace and quiet.

WARNING: Check the cancellation policy before booking. I booked a one-night stay on August 14th at 6:31 PM for the night of August 18th. On August 15th, about 24 hours later, I realized my mistake. I called at 6:14 PM to ask whether I could avoid the penalty by booking a day ahead and starting the stay three days later. At 6:19 PM, I asked to cancel without a penalty. I was told I would be refunded if the room was resold, regardless of the penalty. After 40 years as a travel agent, I couldn't see how they could resell the room while my reservation was still active. I canceled through the website at 7:27 PM on August 15th, then received an email confirming the cancellation request. The booking rules allowed a 50% penalty up to arrival, so I could have kept the reservation until the last minute. The cancellation was processed at 10:47 AM on August 16th, with no feedback about whether the room had been resold. Legally, the hotelier was within their rights: the policy was shown before confirmation, and I accepted it when booking. Commercially, though, it didn't feel right to me, since I asked to cancel within 24 hours of booking and three days before arrival. Essentially, I paid €40 for a 24-hour option, even though the stay was still three days away. Other places would have refunded the full amount. I had to send several messages before I found out whether the penalty would be charged. The invoice I requested in August still hadn't been issued as of December 15, 2024, despite repeated reminders and requests. As of mid-January 2025, it had STILL not been issued. So check the cancellation terms carefully and, if you can, choose a booking you can cancel. WARNING: Check the cancellation policy before booking.
