Lae Domus

The apartment has lovely sea views over Atrani and the lemon groves on the hills, and it’s spacious, well equipped, and even has a washing machine. It’s a two storey place with two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a full kitchen. The bedrooms are upstairs. Getting there means climbing about 200 steps, so luggage can be a challenge, though the walk is manageable without bags. From Amalfi port it’s around 10 minutes on foot, or a €20 taxi. If you arrive by ferry, get off in Amalfi, turn right and follow the promenade past the tables and chairs. Just before the bend, cross the street and go through the pedestrian tunnel, keeping right. At the exit, either cross the road and take the public path that looks like it goes through a restaurant, then walk down to the beach car park and continue to Atrani town square, or keep going through the next tunnel with your luggage toward Atrani. There’s a bus stop visible around the next bend. Your Lae Domus hostess can direct you from the square or the stop. The route with luggage is a bit of a struggle, but doable.

Friendly people, very clean, and right in the center.

We spent five days here over Easter and would happily recommend it. It’s a great starting point for seeing the Amalfi Coast. Amalfi is very close, but the accommodation is tucked away from the tourist crowds, which made for a really nice balance.
