Frank Hotel

Borbone coffee was great, and the managers kindly offered it to me several times. They were friendly too, which is why I gave two stars and hope this feedback helps the place improve. The property feels old, though: the shower was covered in limescale, there was mold in the showers, and cleaning was poor, with stained towels. Don't take the apartment, it was dirty and completely unusable. Everyone needs to do their part these days.

The staff were genuinely kind, helpful, and friendly, which is the only reason I gave three stars instead of one. The hotel needs updating. It's a low-end place, but nothing in our room worked, including the shower, which flooded the bathroom. We were also put in a disabled room that was difficult to use.

At €45 a night for a double, the price felt underwhelming for what you get. The building looks straight out of the 1970s, and the furniture matches. For one night when you have nowhere else in mind, you'll survive, but if you're only there for a few hours, you might prefer not to say where you stayed. It's not a very respectable place.

We ended up leaving the apartment we'd booked and taking three rooms in the building instead. Calling the apartment a dive would be generous. The stay was a nightmare: the place was old, patched up and rusty, the bathrooms were uncomfortable, and some had no bidet. There was poor cleaning and mold in the showers. Street side, the noise was deafening and the windows shook. Some air conditioners were broken, and staff forgot to leave us clean towels.
