Agriturismo Le Chiuse

The dinners here were so good that I regretted not eating here on my first night. They’re good value too, with three courses and a generous amount of wine and water, served outside with the other guests in a lovely atmosphere. Breakfast had lots of variety, and the fresh cake smell drifting into my room each morning made me happy. I stayed three nights in a quiet, comfortable attic room in the main building. When I arrived late, I got a warm welcome and was offered dinner, though I’d already eaten. The staff are really friendly and try hard to help. Their English can be limited, but we managed to communicate and laughed about the language struggles. Billy Furbo, their cute dog, was loved by all the guests. The pool was cold and peaceful, a nice place to unwind after a hot day visiting nearby cities. The only issue was that the electricity seemed weak at times, and the room lights often flickered. It didn’t affect the AC or other outlets.

The only real downside was the dogs barking nonstop around the property, which could be irritating when I was trying to sleep. Otherwise, I had a very good experience. It’s a genuine agriturismo in a beautiful spot away from city commotion, with tasty homemade local products from their garden. The host and staff were friendly and very helpful.

Those dinners at Le Chiuse were amazing, and Giorgio is a talented chef. We spent 10 days there and had excellent service, food, and staff in a peaceful Sicilian countryside setting. The location works well for reaching the major sites, but you do need a car. Giorgio connected us with Spataro car hire, which also gave us five-star service. There’s a large pool, and if you can, I’d choose a room facing it so you can see Etna from your room. Big thanks to Giorgio, Seena, Manuela and Tiziana for making the stay so memorable. We spent a week here and loved it. Giorgio, the host, is such a kind, wonderful guy. The breakfast and pool were both good, and it’s a lovely place to relax while enjoying eastern Sicily. Thanks for everything, Giorgio. We’d recommend it and would happily come back.
