Storace’s House- Villa Adriana

Don’t miss the restaurant. Its seafood-focused Italian cooking was elegant and outstanding. The hosts were kind and helpful, and the renovated house sits in a peaceful village with lovely views over the hills and blue sea.

The Wi-Fi worked really well both in and outside the apartment, which made a difference. We also had a dinner I won’t forget. Thanks to them, I doubt I’ll ever find lobster linguine this good again. Antonio, his family, and the staff were so welcoming, quick to sort out little problems at any hour, and full of suggestions for places to go, restaurants, and excursions. The apartment has a fabulous terrace for watching the sunset over the sea, and the view from this dreamlike place is breathtaking. Class, kindness, and lovely people. We went for a holiday and came away feeling like it was a dream. Highly recommended, and thank you so much!

I’m judging Storace's only on its venue and catering, since we attended a reception there. The sunset coast setting is charming, but getting there is awkward. Parking is a long way from the entrance, and the steep walk up to the venue is tough in high heels. We ate outside, where it felt cramped with so many guests. The staff were courteous at dinner, though the food needs work. Guests found the appetizer decent, the first course bland, and the second very salty. There was clearly a lot of effort, but the kitchen still has room to improve.

We had a lovely break from the summer heat and the busy pace of vacation season, even while we were working. Antonio, thank you for the passionate welcome and professional hospitality. This is a magical spot in authentic Calabria, with excellent southern cooking made with a chef’s skill. A visit is a must, and we’ll definitely return. There’s still so much to enjoy here.
