I can't recommend staying here. It wasn’t worth the money. The listing says “beachfront,” and the photos and other reviews show or mention the beach, but this is only a beach view. The path down was closed, though I think it was open last summer. The owners didn’t tell us; when we asked for a refund after discovering it, they said beach access had never been promised and that it was “nature,” not their fault. They pointed us to an alternative “beach” 300m away, but it wasn’t usable for swimming. The driveway is genuinely hazardous: very steep and narrow, ending with a 5 meter drop to the rocks and sea, with no wall or fence. If your brakes fail, you die. The property might once have been cute, and maybe it will be again, but during our stay it was a construction site. Hammering and drilling started at 8:00am every morning, and cement dust was everywhere. The terrace could be beautiful, but it was filthy with cement, sand, and grime. We rinsed it twice so we could walk barefoot, and my mother still got a bad cut from broken glass. There was glass on the terrace, in the parking lot, and even INSIDE the house. There are three bedrooms, but only two are usable. The living area has AC, but the layout is such a maze that it doesn’t cool the bedrooms. Ceiling fans helped in two rooms. The third was small, dark, hot, had no window that could be opened, and no ceiling fan. WIFI didn’t work in the bedrooms. The bugs were maybe the worst part. There were lots of ants on the terrace and hundreds of mosquitoes INSIDE the house. The manager/host/whatever handed us a bottle of insect repellent and told us to use it in the evenings. He forgot to mention we’d need it inside too, since the house isn’t mosquito proof. Well, it’s only nature.

The beach is usually not too crowded, and you can reach it by a private path. There’s also a well kept swimming pool in the residential complex. From the lovely terrace, you get an enchanting view of the Gulf of Catania beneath Mount Etna.

Although the house is within the condominium, it still feels private and peaceful. It’s a wonderful place, and the home is very comfortable.

Blue sea stretching out beneath majestic ETNA makes for a breathtaking view.

A peaceful, beautiful spot to unwind, with lovely sea and a gorgeous view of Etna.
