We celebrated my grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary at Hotel Brunner. The owners even gave them a small gift at the end, which was a thoughtful touch. We had booked a three-course menu, and the food was excellent. Everyone was offered more of each dish after every course. I'd recommend the hotel for big events. Just get in touch with them first, and they'll do what they can to make it a lovely visit.

We had dinner and breakfast included in our rate, which made sense since there isn't much food around, and both meals were delicious and genuinely local. I especially loved the kaesespaetzl. The price was very reasonable, too. A lovely walking trail starts right behind the hotel and winds through the forest-covered mountains. In about an hour you can reach an Alm and enjoy beautiful views over the valley. We even came across a herd of cows with bells around their necks. The hotel sits on a small farm, with fresh mountain air and farm smells that I really liked. The place itself is wonderful, and our room, number 10, was cozy and clean, though a bit small. It was on the 2nd (European) floor, with a balcony overlooking the whole valley and distant mountains. The downside was that we could smell smoke from people on neighboring balconies. The staff were incredibly accommodating. We were traveling with our small child, so they stored milk for us and let us bring dinner up to the room while he slept. It's an incredibly relaxing, beautiful place, and I'd definitely come back for a few more days if I could.

The food at the restaurant was so good, especially the primi. I wish I'd asked for a double portion! The location, spa, and swimming pool are all beautiful, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to this hotel in winter.
