Josef Mountain Resort

The staff were really nice and helpful, and the location is pretty good, right by a cable car station, with the option to walk up too. From the outside the hotel looks good, though inside it feels older. The food was okay, but I'd have liked it simpler and cleaner. The buffet plates were wet when we picked them up, and there were lots of kids around, which could get annoying. A bit old and not cleaned as well as it could be, but the people were nice and the location worked well.

The restaurant was the low point for us. The salad bar had items visibly going bad, and the soup was basically tasteless water called "broth." The waiters seemed overwhelmed and aimless, even though five to seven of them were serving just six tables. Service took a long time. They did have a good attitude, though, while moving around as if busy. The hotel itself sits in the mountains and has great spas and panoramic pools with lovely views. Our family room was spacious and comfortable, and the beds were good for a nap after a long hike or bike ride. I'd still recommend staying here, but bring a sandwich, folks.

We loved the terrace happy hour and had a great dinner, with a really well-designed menu. Our room was spotless, and the balcony had a fantastic mountain view. After a long morning hiking, the outdoor Jacuzzi and forest spa were just what we needed, and the stay was unforgettable. We'll definitely be back. We spent four days here during Ferragosto. The staff were friendly, professional, warm, and smiling every day. Inside, the decor brings mountain touches together with a modern, elegant look.

The food was delicious, and the hot chocolate was amazing. The staff were friendly too. There's a kids' play area near the restaurant and bar, so you can have a coffee or something else while the children play.
