Bed and breakfast ù canzu rooms

Sicily is a wonderful place, and its people are so kind. We'll remember this B&B for a long time. Antonio and Viviana looked after us with lovely breakfasts and their knowledge of the area, treating us like friends instead of guests. The rooms are thoughtfully furnished and impeccably clean, and the value is excellent. We'd recommend a stay here to anyone and hope to come back soon.

The breakfast was a real pleasure in the garden courtyard, where there was a small buffet of typical foods, some homemade, along with fresh bread and croissants. We ate in the shade of a big banana tree, and they also welcomed us with delicious almond milk, a thoughtful touch that not everyone offers. The hospitality was warm and kind. The zaMaria room was upstairs on the first floor, with its entrance from the street. The older building has been renovated recently, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. There is no elevator. The shower was awkwardly small, so I had to hold the showerhead in one hand while washing with the other. There were so few outlets that we had to unplug the fridge to use a power strip for our phone. There was no full-length mirror or safe. Apart from those issues, things were fine 😊, but I can't give it five stars. Sorry.

The Ferraras were attentive and wonderful, and the place was peaceful, with a lovely family feeling that made me feel at home. Breakfast in the beautiful garden was fantastic. I mentioned that I fancied a granita, and they promptly brought me delicious almond granita with the typical brioche topped with almond flakes. Ten out of ten. I'll be back!

After falling for the place last year, we came back for four nights at B&B U' Canzu. Avola is a convenient base, with easy parking and access to the beautiful, clear, colorful sea of southeastern Sicily. The highlight, though, is still breakfast beneath the banana tree in the lovely, well-kept garden, a little oasis that also seems perfect for a quiet moment or an intimate dinner. Breakfast was abundant and high quality: almond pastries, cakes, croissants, pancakes, biscuits, bread, almond milk, smoothies, juice, fresh fruit, jams, honey, Nutella, cappuccino, coffee, and mint and lemon tea. Antonio and Viviana were warmly welcoming and attentive to our needs. The rooms are clean, tastefully furnished, welcoming, and comfortable, and the value is excellent. Good things really do come in threes. See you next time!
