We spent two nights in the heart of Bitetto’s historic center. The property has been renovated with care and taste, with elegant, sophisticated architectural details that bring out its period features. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming and kind, and Nicola deserves special thanks for making our vacation even better.

The locals were kind, welcoming, and always smiling, which made the stay a real pleasure. Bitetto is well worth exploring, too. Its historic center feels authentic and evocative, with beautiful churches, an important monastery you can visit, and decorated streets that give the place a magical atmosphere. I’m not a history buff, but the visit was easy and enjoyable, and the old streets stay cool during the hottest hours. We loved the property itself. It’s a beautifully restored historic building, full of character, with modern touches, carefully chosen furnishings, and impeccable cleanliness. We were lucky enough to see a few rooms besides our own, and each one was unique, welcoming, comfortable, and even lovelier than the last. Nicola was especially kind and helpful. He answered every request with a smile and suggested places to visit, ways to get there, and places to eat. His knowledge of the area, including Puglia’s history and interesting details, left us speechless. For an authentic, elegant stay away from the usual routes, go to Palazzo Rizzi. We’ll definitely be back!

The palace has been lovingly restored by the owners, keeping its history and links to the Knights Templar. Palazzo Rizzi Dimora dei Templari is in a quiet town, a great choice if you’re looking to relax away from the crowds. Nicola was welcoming, attentive, and helpful. My room was spacious and spotless, with a really comfortable bed. It’s also well placed for visiting Bari, Alberobello, Polignano, and Matera. I’d recommend staying here if you’re interested in history, culture, or architecture, or just want a comfortable base for exploring Puglia.
