Mormoraia

We loved the pool, gardens, and outdoor dining space, all with a beautiful view of San Gimignano, about a 10-minute drive away. The wine and olive oil tasting and tour were another real highlight, as were the massages and time in the private wet/dry spa area. Our room was spotless and lovely, with a comfortable bed, and the staff were genuinely friendly. Breakfast was included and had plenty of delicious options. Breakfast and lunch were fantastic, though dinner felt a bit average by comparison. Still, this was a relaxing, memorable stay and we’d recommend it.

The staff made us feel looked after from the minute we arrived. Thanks especially to Lorenzo, Enrico, Christian, Kwami, Stella, Angelica, Eugenio, and everyone on the team. The food was fresh and delicious throughout, and the restaurant menu had plenty we enjoyed. We had so many great experiences at Mormoraia during our honeymoon, including an easy-to-book e-bike ride to San Gimignano with stunning Tuscan scenery. Alberto’s cooking class was a lot of fun and changed how we think about making simple, tasty food. The spa was deeply relaxing, the romantic dinner was one of the best meals of our whole 14-day trip, and we loved the wine tasting enough to bring bottles home. It was one of the best places we’ve stayed and the highlight of our honeymoon in Italy. Mormoraia will always mean a lot to us, and we hope to return someday. ❤️

We spent much of the week visiting nearby towns, but still had time to unwind by the pool, helped along by lovely weather. The hotel is very well placed for exploring Tuscany’s main towns. Breakfast was varied and delicious, and the wines and olive oil they make were so good that I’d recommend trying or buying them. Our room was spacious, spotless, and had wonderful views of the mountains and San Gimignano. The welcome, from the drive through the vineyards onward, was warm. Everyone was kind and attentive. Each morning they remembered our cappuccinos and brought them with a smile, which really made us feel at home. We’d return without hesitation.

The food was incredible, the wine fantastic, and the staff so attentive. The property is one of a kind and absolutely breathtaking. A highlight of my trip, 10/10, and I’ll never forget it. Almost a must!
