Hotel Pescille by Double Hospitality

The views are just stunning, and the staff were amazing. The rooms were spacious and nice, and breakfast was a highlight. Dinner was only okay. The hotel is about 3 km out of San Gimignano.

We stayed three nights, and the room was clean and spacious. The staff were genuinely nice and helpful, and the location has beautiful views. Breakfast was really good, though lunch and dinner were the low point: the menu was limited and the food wasn't very tasty. Our room, number 89, faced the pool, with the restaurant just below, so we could hear music and people from 7am. We didn't mind, though. Everything else was great, and I'd recommend the hotel if you're in the area.

The rooms were big and bright, with great views, and the service was amazing. Breakfast was terrific, too. We also had dinner at the hotel, and both the food and service were 10/10. Charming place. If you get the chance, you must stay here.

We loved the setting and the amazing view of San Gimignano, but weren't satisfied with our stay in Superior Country room number 73. It had two rooms, yet the layout felt illogical, there was no table beside the sofa, and the shower cubicle was tiny. I honestly couldn't see what was meant to be “superior.” The website photos didn't match the room at all. When I raised this with the woman at reception, she said she couldn't do anything because it was simply a different room. We were only there for two nights and let it go, but next time we'll stay somewhere else. The hotel needs major renovation, and the price doesn't match the quality right now. One more warning: at this time of year, use insect repellent if you sit outside, there are lots of mosquitoes.
