The management was awful and very rude. I booked a non-refundable rate because the listing said “Parking included.” After payment, they messaged me with check-in restrictions and said parking was outside the city wall, at 2 euros per hour. I asked for a refund because parking off the property didn't seem included to me. They refused and blamed the website selling the room for being misleading, saying it wasn't their fault. Instead of working with the website to sort it out, they argued with me and used insulting language, called me rude, and said, “Only a pretending FOOL can think, that he can park in that city”. I spent more than two months arguing with them, Agoda site, and my bank. Very bad management.

We liked the place enough to add another night after we arrived. The atmosphere just felt right, and the pool and scenery were amazing. San gimignao downtown is about a five-minute drive or a 20-minute walk away, though the town itself only allows walking. On Mondays and Thursdays they hold a family dinner you can reserve, with a 2kg Fiorentina T bone steak and a bottle of good red wine. It leaves you completely satisfied and ready for bed.

The views from the piazza location are spectacular. Just be prepared for over 40 stairs to reach the rooms. There's no elevator or help with bags, so it may be difficult if mobility is a concern.

The house with the pool looked amazing, but they had no rooms available there. We were assigned another place about 3 km away in the village. It seemed to have been closed for a long time: there were dead mosquitoes all over the walls, and the remotes had no batteries. We spent two hours killing almost all of the mosquitoes, but they kept buzzing around during the night. Ask where your room is before you book.
