On the way Hostel

The location is the one good thing about this hostel, near the central station and city center. Everything else was a letdown. My opinion is that someone needs to take charge and change a lot to make this place guest friendly. The rooms were horribly noisy. The old wooden windows did nothing to block sound, so we heard every passing car. The common room was supposed to close by midnight, but most nights people were still there afterward, drinking, smoking, laughing, and talking. Forget getting any rest. The bathrooms should have been renovated years ago. Only a few staff members were friendly and seemed to know what they were doing. The others just hung around and didn’t even say hello in the morning. I could go on, but it feels like a waste of time. Better to spend a few euros more somewhere else, even if the location is good. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The location’s excellent, right in the historic center, with lots of parties and fun around. Staff are really friendly and made me feel at home. The facilities are very good for the price, and breakfast is included and very good. This hostel is amazing!

The common area was nice, and the old building has lovely high ceilings. The location is good for getting to places, including the central station, but the noise was a real problem. We could hear traffic in the room and common area 24/7 because it’s on a big street. There was also a loud boiler or something above our room that seemed to start up at least every five minutes, and we could hear that in both spaces. There’s no free parking except on the street, where spots are available in some places.

A great place to spend a few nights in Palermo. It’s right by the city center and within walking distance of the train station. You can walk to the city’s landmarks, or take the free shuttle bus down the road. I recommend it.
