Casa Syramusa con Piscina

For what it costs, it feels pretty basic, more like a two-star place to me. The beds weren't great, and one had a dip where people sleep. Breakfast was basic too. We had to ask for cheese, and what you get is basically one croissant and a piece of cake. We did have an accident, and Christina was really great and helped us a lot, so her help was excellent.

Frank and Seraphina were friendly and helpful hosts. The house, pool, and gardens are beautiful, but you'll really need a car. The villa is a long, hot walk from Avola's lovely outdoor restaurants, along roads without pavements. The local shopping mall, which has an excellent supermarket, is also a long walk away. We were expected to clean the whole villa ourselves, even though we were told to be out of our rooms by 8.30 am on departure day, and no cleaning materials were provided.

The pool was the standout for us: roomy, right for adults and children, and at a perfect temperature. We spent a week at Mandorleto in early June, in spacious, rustic-style rooms with very comfortable beds. It's a peaceful green retreat, well placed for exploring southeastern Sicily and far from the chaos, with the real feel of the Sicilian countryside. Salvo's kindness and helpfulness made the stay unforgettable, and his passion for his work really shows. Angelica was also so kind and friendly at breakfast, and Serena kept our children happily occupied with games at the pool in the afternoons. Highly recommended!!

Salvo and his wife are wonderful people. It's rare to find hosts who put so much care and love into their work, and this place really felt like home. Every detail is looked after, including in the new rooms at the new location. I can't think of anything bad to say. You're wonderful, and we'll definitely see you again soon.
