The only real advantage for us was the location in the village. The property itself is recent and well maintained, but the garage is small, and its entrance is hard to spot at first. Getting in is barely adequate for the size of an average modern car. Our apartment was in the basement, with two communicating rooms. One had no window, and neither did the bathroom, though the bathroom had a narrow slit for light. It’s hard to understand why there’s no bidet when the plumbing connections are already there. There’s no kitchenette or even a few things for preparing a snack. The room with a window faced an outdoor area where a metal staircase runs, and the noise from people going up and down was unbearable. The price is high. Access starts at 3 pm, which cuts into a vacation day, and checkout has to be by 10 in the morning. Guests can eat at a couple of nearby places for a small discount, but it’s only a modest convenience.

We arrived very late in an emergency and the owner was still accommodating, even in the middle of the night. The place was clean, tidy and comfortable, almost right in the center of Champoluc. We could also charge our electric car in the covered garage just below the room. Highly recommended for couples and families.

The property is right in the center, with restaurants, shops and a breakfast bar close by. The Monterosa Ski lifts are about a five-minute walk away. I found it on Google Maps and was very pleased: it’s new, clean and welcoming, with a very kind owner. There’s covered parking and a locker for storing skis. Highly recommended!

The rooms are nicely furnished, and everything seems new, probably because it’s been renovated recently. I had a great time, and the owner is incredibly kind and a wonderful person. The reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that at €126 a night, I expect the towels to be changed at least daily.
