The host is a lovely person, and the apartment is excellent value. It’s spacious, with a separate bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen and dining area. There’s also a drying room in the complex with a ski rack and boot dryers.

There’s plenty to see and do around Alta Badia, and this is a brilliant base for exploring the region. I can hardly wait to return in 2020. If you visit outside ski season, check which lifts are running, as that can make getting around on your adventures easier.

The owners were nice, and the apartment had plenty of space. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the main ski station.
