Hotel Lech Da Sompunt

Everything seemed arranged with guests in mind, especially people coming to ski. It’s a beautiful setting, and our stay was perfect. We hope to return soon.

We had a good stay overall. The design and atmosphere were nice, the location was convenient, and the staff were professional. Breakfast was very good, and there’s free parking out front with enough spaces for guests. Dinner is offered from 19:30 to 21:00, if I remember right, and I believe it’s only for hotel guests because the restaurant doesn’t take outside visitors. The sauna and spa close at 19:30, and dogs are welcome. There was excavation work less than a meter from our first-floor balcony, so we couldn’t use it during the day. It was temporary, and the hotel gave us a 10% discount at checkout for the inconvenience. I’d recommend the place.

In winter, being right on the ski slope makes this a great base for skiing. Come summer, it’s also well placed for lovely treks in the Dolomites. The hotel is nicely decorated and has plenty of amenities for a comfortable visit. The hosts are warm and welcoming. :)

The spa was a wonderful way to unwind after a day hiking, and the room had astonishing views. It was lovely too, with the unexpected luxury of a heated toilet seat. Breakfast and dinner were outstanding, so half board is well worth considering. The Ladin evening was a particular favorite: dumplings, goulash, pork hock, filled pasta, and other hearty local food all in one meal. The staff were very friendly. The gentleman at the buffet noticed when I was hungry and was so kind, and a lady patiently worked around my limited Italian and German to get food to my partner, who was ill in bed one evening.
