We had a thoroughly unpleasant night, and thankfully it was only one. The owner yelled at me, called me rude and disrespectful, and accused me of pretending not to understand when we'd gone in through the main entrance and mistakenly reached room 3 instead of room 1. He spoke Italian only, which made everything harder, and was aggressive and unfriendly. The location is remote, planes landing and taking off are very loud, and the directions weren't clear. The place itself was disappointing too. Everything seemed ancient, the beds were unfit to sleep in, and there was no privacy: the rooms connect directly to the main house through glass doors or windows with curtains. Breakfast was packaged food left in the room. I absolutely don't recommend it.

Thankfully, we stayed only one night. By morning, ants were in the bed, our clothes, bags, and even properly stored food, which we had to throw away. The room's windows and doors had been kept shut. The listing's “Italian breakfast” turned out to be two packaged snacks and a coffee pod machine, and cobwebs made it seem the room hadn't been cleaned properly. The room also didn't match the photos. A curtained French window opened directly onto the main house, so there wasn't adequate privacy. When I raised the problems, the manager said this was normal in the countryside and then called me uncivilized. I've never had anything like this happen before. Scandalous.

It's a quiet spot, and the owners are kind and helpful. The rooms have distinctive antique furnishings. I'd just make the bed more comfortable.
