The family made us feel at home from the start. We stayed for a week on half board, and with breakfast and dinner included, there was little reason to leave except for skiing. Each night we had the same dining room table, with a choice of entrees at dinner. The meals were amazing, many celebrating Ladin cuisine, and I took photos of some of the menus to show the variety. Fabio has a terrific wine selection and can pair something with the food, your taste, and your budget. Breakfast was a great buffet with hot and cold options. We especially liked the fresh squeezed orange juice and the DIY cold press juice machine. I never knew fresh fennel could taste that good. After skiing, we used the third-floor wellness room, which has a steam bath, sauna, loungers, and water beds. The bar was a lovely place for a drink before or after dinner. Everything, including our room, was clean and well appointed. The location is about a five-minute walk from the Piz Sorega gondola and close to shops and stores. We loved Steinrosl, the staff, and quieter San Cassiano, and hope to return.

The warmth of the people working here is what really makes this hotel special. It’s a welcoming family-run place, and I had one of my best stays from start to finish over two nights in early September. The room was modern, clean, well equipped, and quiet enough for me to sleep like a baby. Dinner, breakfast, and even the packed lunch were excellent and worth what I paid. They also have a great wine selection. I’d recommend it to anyone I know touring the Dolomites. Check out the nearby museumLaden too!

We only stayed one night, but the owners were very friendly and the service was excellent throughout. Dinner was outstanding, probably among the best we’ve had. We hope we get the chance to return.

The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, with thoughtful details like drying racks, heated towel racks, and well-made casement windows. Mine was comfortable and quiet, with blackout shutters and excellent finishes throughout. Breakfast had a generous, tasty spread, and dinner was excellent too. It’s a very nice family-run hotel in a small, quiet town. A good place to unwind and enjoy the activities in the surrounding area.

This was our second stay at Steinrosl, and we again appreciated the care the family puts into running it. The rooms are roomy, clean, and comfortable. We’ve had half-board meals at many Dolomites hotels, but the dinners here are on the level of high-end restaurants we’ve enjoyed over years of travel. Fabio’s excellent wine selection adds to the evening. We used the hotel as a base for the area’s many interesting day hikes. Highly recommend!
