Hotel Ustaria Posta

Ustaria Posta has the charm of an authentic Dolomites hotel, with a great bar and fantastic food. It’s close to the ski lift, and the staff are friendly and charming. We had a wonderful week here.

We had dinner here three times during our stay in alta badia, and it was good every time. The bruschettas especially stood out.

We came for the mountains. I rode the Maratona, and we did several lovely hikes together. In high season, the busy roads make road cycling harder, but the owners were always glad to help with route planning and local tips. The hotel is right by a very busy road in mid July. We got around on foot and by public transport using the free guest pass they gave us at the start of our stay. The region should consider a car ban on certain days of the week to keep high-season traffic under control. I’m laughing, but serious. We’re not used to hotels, yet Ustaria Posta made us feel completely at home. There’s a warm, welcoming family feeling, along with real professionalism, and the place is cozy and full of character. The food was fantastic, and the whole stay stayed with us. I’ll be back next year for the Supermaratona. A big thank you to the owners and staff for all the friendliness, care, and attention.

We came as four people on a cycling holiday, and Ustaria Posta turned out to be a perfect base for riding in the Dolomites. It’s a delightful place, with the classic Ladin style, clean and cozy rooms, and friendly staff. The food was the best you could ask for. I highly recommend it!
