Villa Lucchesi

A lovely welcome from the host, and they gave us breakfast tokens to use at local cafes. The rooms are stylish and relaxed, set in a classic Italian villa. A great little hotel, can recommend.

My mother and I liked Villa Lucchesi so much that we returned during our trip just a week later. It’s a gorgeous villa, with impeccable style and craftsmanship and a lovely enclosed garden to enjoy throughout the day. Irina and Mimo were incredibly warm and kind, and made sure we had what we needed, including gluten-free breakfast. They also told us about things to do in Bagni Di Lucca, and we highly recommend Canyoning. It was a wonderful retreat from Florence’s busy streets, and the hosts made the villa feel like a welcoming community hub. A great place for couples, families, or friends, with something for everyone. Thank you for such an amazing stay💕

There are wonderful, genuinely non-touristy places to see within a 30-minute drive, though be prepared for very winding roads. The house sits right by the road, so you can hear passing cars. Our room was a good size, and the rooms do vary quite a bit. Irena and Dominico made us feel so welcome. You can see the care they’ve put into decorating, with beauty and charm everywhere. A gem of a stay, and we’ll visit again.

We stayed in the Venetian-style attic and loved it, especially having our own bathroom and a private balcony. This family-run boutique hotel is just steps from the thermal waters resort, with tastefully decorated rooms, distinctive furniture and art throughout, and a charming garden. The hosts were incredibly friendly. There’s a supermarket within walking distance and a train station in town. By car, it’s 30 minutes to Lucca, an hour to Pisa, 1.5 hours to Florence and Fiesole, and 50 minutes to the luxury seaside resort of Forte dei Marmi. The mountains, unspoiled forest, birds, blooming trees, river, and waterfalls make the area a natural paradise. Highly recommended. Thank you, Irina and Mimmo!
