La Macina

We stopped here for a night during a hike along the Via dei Tusci, five friends in all. Beatrice, her husband Vittorio, and their two children made us feel thoroughly looked after in this quiet little corner. Everything was clean and orderly, and the care put into the place showed in the details. Dinner and breakfast, both made by Beatrice, were excellent. We also enjoyed the fine wine made from their grapes and bottled by her son, who is a winemaker. We ate in a room full of antiques. Highly recommended!

The thing I remember most is how quiet it was. We were especially touched by Beatrice and her family's kindness. They're wonderful people, and we felt at home with them right away. The garden is beautifully looked after, and the rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent, too. If you're lucky, you might spot deer nearby early in the morning. I'd happily stay here again if I'm in the area, and the peace makes it worth spending a few days.

My daughter and I spent a night here while traveling from Korea. The view was fantastic, and Beatrice was very friendly. Our room was comfortable, with private access to the bathroom. Open a door and there's the pool. A lovely place to experience the Tuscan farmhouse landscape and way of life.

The room and bathroom were spacious, and the pool was just right for two. The location was a great base, too. It's a quiet place away from city noise and pollution, all about relaxing. A really positive stay.
