Dunant House

The breakfast kitchen is stocked with cereal, milk, juice boxes, pastries, coffee and tea for guests to help themselves to, and they even left toast and jam in my room. Check-in was easy, with clear instructions. There's a Conad right across the street, and the 8BUS line stops next door and gets you to Trastevere in 13 minutes. This was a great base for exploring Trastevere. The rooms are spacious and have balconies, and everything was spotless. The bathroom is private and just across the street, so you do have to leave your room to get to it, but it was just as clean.

The apartment was clean, well-lit and had all the amenities we needed. Since we arrived after 1:00 PM, the online check-in was useful, and the instructions were precise. Dunant guesthouse is a charming place in Rome's Trastevere neighborhood, especially handy if you're using light rail. The station is about a ten-minute walk away.

The room and bathroom were very clean and nicely equipped. But the doors squeaked so loudly that using them could disturb people in the other rooms. The setup is basically three separate accommodations, each with a room and bathroom, sharing a hall that's also used for breakfast. Calling it breakfast feels like a stretch: there are cereals, small croissants and some cakes, plus tea and coffee you make yourself. Guests can help themselves, but I think a photo should make that arrangement clear. To me, it's just a few sweets. The property is right on the street, which makes it very easy to get to, but also quite noisy. Keep that in mind if you're planning to stay here.

The room felt a bit dated, and the bathroom was separate, so I had to leave the room to use it. It was quite old too, with a bathtub I couldn't use for a bath because the plug was missing. The shower panels also leaked water everywhere.
