The private beach became my little sanctuary. There are rocks, but if you find a spot around 5 p.m. and sit in the breeze with the ocean air, it feels like magic. The rooms were quiet, and we could also walk straight to a larger public beach, cute shops, and restaurants. Rituals and Phi Club are within walking distance too, which was a big bonus. The hotel was super clean, and they even upgraded our room for free. They had set up two separate beds before we arrived, which made things easy. The staff were lovely, especially the restaurant manager, who went out of his way to chat with us and make us feel welcome. There was entertainment in the evenings too, so the nights were fun. We had such a great stay. I’d recommend it in a heartbeat and would 100% stay again!

The setting is stunning, with a private beach at the back and a public one at the front, each with its own beautiful views. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom looked recently renovated. The price felt very reasonable for the quality. We booked bed and breakfast, and the food was better than we expected. There was a great range of fresh hot and cold choices each morning, and it all looked and tasted freshly made. We had a fantastic stay at Club Hotel Baja Sardinia and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Today, something unpleasant happened on the hotel beach, although the hotel itself is beautiful. The room is nice, the reception girls are very friendly, and everything is very clean, with cleaning done every day. Last night we saw people leaving towels on sunbeds to “reserve” them for the next day, so we did the same. When we came down this morning, someone was already on the sunbed we had reserved. We took another sunbed with towels on it, and a man, most likely the attendant, ran over and said it was “taken.” I explained that someone else had already occupied our reserved sunbed, but he acted “surprised” and did nothing to sort it out. It seemed clear that there are “VIP” guests and regular guests. He personally reserves and guards sunbeds for VIPs so nobody takes them, but apparently it’s fine for someone to take a regular guest’s spot. I don’t understand this hotel policy. Most places have stopped this ridiculous towel-reserving practice. The rule should be simple: first come, first served. If the hotel still allows reservations with towels, why doesn’t the same rule apply to everyone? What is this favoritism? I’m trying to be objective and I’m not condemning the whole hotel, but one person’s behavior can ruin the whole impression. All guests should be treated equally. Either stop towel reservations entirely or make sure the rule is enforced fairly for everyone, not just for people who may have slipped the attendant some money. We’re still staying here, and I sincerely hope it doesn’t happen again.

The rooms were clean, but the property itself felt a little worn. There was a large centipede in our room when we arrived, and the sliding door had no insect screen. They change the sheets only every three days, supposedly for environmental reasons, though the café smelled of sewage in the evenings. I can only suspect that waste may be going straight into the sea. The beach in the photos isn't the hotel's beach. Their rocky shore is about a five-minute walk away, down a slippery path between rocks with seaweed underfoot. For the nicer sandy beach, two loungers and an umbrella cost €40. Breakfast is included, but the service was terrible. Some staff were extremely rude, and the restaurant rules made little sense from a guest's point of view. There were three of us and we wanted still water. I brought a 750 ml bottle from the buffet to our table to pour into our glasses, but we were told we couldn't do that unless we paid for the bottle. We were only allowed to fill glasses at the buffet, and they explained it in a needlessly rude way. At €500+ a night with breakfast, being hassled over a €2 bottle of water felt ridiculous. The restaurant is fine in the evening, but dinner isn't included. On our last day, the restaurant added a lunch to our bill even though we hadn't eaten one. I find it hard to believe it was an honest mistake, given that almost all the hotel's guests are Italian. We speak English with the staff, so how did they mix us up with someone else? We had to show proof that we'd been on a boat tour that day. Poor value for money.

Breakfast overlooking the bay was lovely, and we had a great stay. The hotel is a little dated, but our room was clean and practical. The beach is very nice, though it isn't private, just a public beach with some hotel loungers on it. Parking was the letdown: despite the hotel description saying it was available, there was none for us, and reception couldn't point us to anywhere else in town. We did eventually find a free lot about a five-minute walk away, but that wasn't good enough. I'd stay again because the location is hard to beat.
