Host Nicolo was charming and always had an answer for our questions. The place is extremely clean, quietly cooled, and in a great location. We like lodging that feels private and independent, and this suited us perfectly. Ballestrate is well placed for visiting nearby attractions. When we're back in Sicily, we'll stay at Nicolo's lovely place again.

Breakfast was varied and delicious, and on some days there were homemade Sicilian pastries too. Our room was clean and spacious, with a lovely view and a nice balcony. Nicolo was a kind, friendly, welcoming host, and we had a wonderful time at B&B Stanze del Mare in Balestrate. I'd highly recommend it, and we'd definitely stay again if we get the chance.

Nicolo gave us a lovely welcome, and parking was easy. The rooms are roomy, though the entrance door makes a loud bang whenever it opens. Breakfast was the letdown: it was at a nearby bar, where the included choice was just a croissant and coffee. We asked for orange juice and were told it would cost 3e, which felt really expensive. Still, a good B&B overall.

Balestrate is such a lovely, quaint town, and staying at the Stanze made it a delight. Nicolo helped us get our bearings the next morning and was already up hosting a lovely breakfast. He'd also waited for us with a warm, gracious welcome after midnight, even though our flight was delayed and it took us ages to leave the airport and reach town. A wonderful first taste of Sicily. Thanks, Nicolo!
