Gioacchino and his family gave us a warm welcome, and the food was excellent. It’s a friendly, peaceful, almost enchanted place away from the crowds, somewhere closer to the moon and stars. The restrooms are basic, but that suits the character of the place. It’s close to a great restaurant and the famous nitrodi springs. An experience worth having!

I paid in advance and booked through Booking.com months ahead, but they canceled my reservation without warning just a week before departure. Since I couldn’t sort it out myself and the trip was already booked, I had to contact Booking.com to find somewhere else to stay. I don’t recommend it.

Gioacchino’s welcome is one of a kind. It feels like a family setting, so expect an innkeeper who pampers you with delicious dinners and an incredible view. Even in August, it was genuinely quiet, which was a real plus.

Breakfast was included in our reservation, but it wasn’t served. The stairs are huge, and getting up them with lots of luggage is a challenge. Our room was small and had no air conditioning. It was incredibly hot up there, and mosquitoes kept us awake.

I booked on 28/6 and paid the 30 percent deposit. A week before, they couldn’t collect the remaining balance and emailed me, but the message went into my junk folder, which I unfortunately don’t check. When I arrived, I found out my booking had been canceled. You can imagine the trouble that caused. The lack of professionalism and care for customers was really, really poor.
