Hotel La Mandorla

Hotel La Mandorla was peaceful and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. My sister, mum, and I stayed four nights recently and loved every minute, though we were sad to leave. The beautiful Maronti beach was easy to get to, and public transport to other parts of Ischia was good. Breakfast was varied, tasty, and great value. We hope we can come back one day. The staff made me feel at home as soon as I arrived. Antonio, Giovanni, Marco, and Salvatore were always ready to help, and I’m especially grateful for their care when I got sick and for helping recover my phone after I left it in a taxi. Their service felt both professional and genuinely friendly. I loved the quiet around Hotel La Mandorla, with little more than the sound of waves at night. My double room for single use came with a lovely surprise: a sea view and a balcony with a table and chairs. I stayed cool with the ceiling fan and didn’t need the air conditioning. The bathroom window brought in fresh air and daylight, and the shower had great pressure. Breakfast combined continental and American options, including eggs, fruit, and fresh juice. The long espresso in a big cup was a favorite, and the breakfast staff were quick, polite, and kind. The hotel is also only two minutes from Maronti Beach and the bus stop for Ischia Porto. I’d give my stay six stars if I could.

I ended up extending my stay because I just didn’t want to leave. The staff, including Giovanni, Antonio, Marco, Salvatore, and Luciena, were attentive and warm, and always happy to arrange transport, suggest places to visit, or make sure my room was ready. Sorry to the team members whose names I missed. Their personal care made me feel valued. The hotel has two thermal pools, a Turkish bath, well-kept grounds, and easy access to the beach. Breakfast came with fresh pastries, fruit, and other tasty choices, and eating with a sea view made it a lovely start to the day. My room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed and a balcony looking out over the sea and green surroundings. La Mandorla is close to the beach and a short drive from Ischia’s main sights, so it worked well as a base for exploring. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was warm and the service was excellent. The sea views were beautiful, and the whole stay felt special. I’d happily recommend it for a getaway in Ischia and would love to return.

La Mandorla made a great base for the 10 days my mom, aunt, and I spent in Ischia. We wanted to be close to the beach, have breakfast, wifi, and air conditioning, and it covered all of that. Maronti Beach is less than a two-minute walk away, with free beach chairs and umbrellas. Our balcony looked over the pool and lounge area as well as the beach. The hotel is very family friendly and wonderfully quiet. Maronti is a beautiful beach, but the area is a little secluded from shops and restaurants with more variety than seafood. For gelato, for example, you’ll need to take a bus. Trani in Ischia Ponte was a good option, and you can get there on bus number 5. If you want busy nightlife, this probably isn’t the spot. For relaxing, switching off, and sleeping soundly, it felt like paradise. We loved the complete, delicious breakfast, especially the coffee, the service, and the view. It quickly became one of our favorite parts of the day. Giovanni, Marco, and Antonio were quick to help whenever we needed anything. Salvatore and the woman whose name we didn’t catch were always cheerful and welcoming, and they remembered our coffee order. The care with the details was lovely. Everything was spotless and well kept, and our room was refreshed daily until it looked and smelled brand new. There’s also a bar with anything you might need. I missed running and working out while I was there. There’s no gym, and this isn’t a runner-friendly area, so you have to make an effort or skip a few days. I visited in July, the hottest month, so I might feel differently in September or cooler weather, when there are lots of trekking and hiking options around Maronti. Great hotel all the same.
